The Agreement Between the Actual and Alleged ABO and Rh(D) Blood Groups-Result from Comprehensive-Health Checkup Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
In order to investigate the agreement between actual and alleged blood groups, ABO and Rh blood grouping was performed on comprehensive health examinees at Asan Medical Center.
The results were as follows:
1. The agreement rate for ABO blood groups was 86.9% (kappa-0.8290).
2. 76.4% of the examinees didn’t know their Rh(D) blood group.
3. 34.3% of them were blood group A and 27.0%, 26.3% and 12.4% of them were group B, O and AB, respectively.
4. The agreement rate was highest on the 3rd decade and lowest on the 6th decade.
